In a surprising move, producers of Masterchef have announced that the next series will take place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The programme will feature MCU favourites such as Iron Man and Black Widow facing off against each other as they bake a cheese soufflé under the watchful eyes of top professional chefs and a shouty greengrocer who can’t believe his luck.
“It just makes sense, people love watching other people cook and superheroes,” said MCU head Kevin Feige.
“Obviously, we’re really proud of the way the MCU has turned out. It’s been a series of popular, exciting, fun films.”
“However, even if have to admit that the one thing that’s been missing is some solid examples of spatchcocking and fricasseeing small birds under competitive conditions.”
Fans are already speculating on which hero has the skills to triumph with The Hulk thought of as having some natural talent, but lacking the temperament to not smash Greg’s Wallace through a wall. Thor only really knows how to microwave meals, but he does have great hair.
Current favourite is Hawkeye who is known to make an exciting bouillabaisse.
It is understood that the DC Cinematic Universe will also be planning a crossover with a cookery competition, but just not as good as the Marvel one.
