A new Spiderman trailer has added Darth Vader, Baron Greenback and a small yappy dog to the ever-increasing list of villains crossing over from other dimensions into Peter Parker’s reality for him to do battle with.
The trailer begins with Darth Vader’s famous breathing on a black screen and cuts to scenes of Peter battling some stormtroopers before Vader can be heard saying ‘The Force is strong in this one.’
Smoke around what we think is Vader begins to clear, but instead of the dark lord of the Sith, we see Baron Silas Greenback emerge and say “Yes, he seems determined, Stiletto…I mean, Lord Vader,” and then Vader appears from behind the Baron.
Spiderman, visibly shaken to be facing two of the universe’s most evil men, takes a step back and stumbles when, from the smoke emerges the final villain reveal of the trailer – a really annoying small yappy dog. It runs forward and starts barking at Spiderman’s heels. As Spiderman tries to shake it off, Darth Vader and Baron Greenback begin to laugh.
Vader, Greenback and the yappy dog are further additions to the increasing list of villains that, from previous trailer reveals, include Sandman, Doc Ock, Green Goblin, The Joker, The Terminator, Hannibal Lecter, Pazuzu, Michael Corleone, Count Dracula, Chucky, Gollum, Jaws, Cruella De Vil, Michael Myers, Hans Gruber, the Man with the Golden Gun, Saddam Hussein, Genghis Khan, Khan, and the guy down the street with the leaf-blower.
