Robert Pattinson has revealed the lengths to which he went in preparation for the role of Batman, even becoming a billionaire playboy so he could really get under the skin of Bruce Wayne.
“Batman is iconic,” said the former sparkly vampire.
“So, I wanted to make sure I was properly prepared for it. First of all, I went out in the night with a balaclava and beat up some petty criminals.
“It felt good. It felt right. It felt like I really understood what it was like to go out in the night in a balaclava and beat up some petty criminals, which really is the essence of Batman.”
However, Robert knew there was more to the character than just late-night sadism.
“I wanted to really understood what it meant to be a billionaire playboy, and the only way I could do that was to become a billionaire playboy. So, I invested heavily in Peloton stocks and, at just the right time, parlayed the profits into a successful property empire and became the third richest man in America.
“I then spent the lot drinking expensive champagne, driving fast cars, and partying with beautiful women.
“That gave me a real insight into being a billionaire playboy. It’s absolutely brilliant, by the way. I recommend it. Ferraris are wicked cool.”
Whilst the world waits for The Batman to be released to see the fruits of his dedication, Robert is considering what he will do next.
“I’m not sure,” he laughs.
“Although, I got to be honest, it’s pretty tempting to just go back and be a billionaire playboy a bit more.
“Great fun.”
