New sequel to reveal Jafar is Aladdin’s father and Jasmine his sister

A new sequel to Guy Ritchie’s Aladdin has been announced and will come with some significant plot twists.

Jasmine, who at the end of the first film had married Aladdin, is revealed to be his sister, and Jafar, who has become a genie trapped in a lamp, is Aladdin’s father.

“This sequel is going to really shake fans up,” said director Guy Ritchie, adding “cor blimey, apples and pears and no mistake, innit guv’nor,” for some reason.

He went on to reveal where he’d got the idea for the sequel.

“The idea just popped into my head. It’s like some mysterious force put it there.”

It looks like this won’t be the final sequel, either.

“No, the more I think about it, the more I think there’s a really proper good franchise in this. I’ll do another sequel after this with some fighting teddy bears. Then I’ll leave it all alone for a bit before coming back with a load of old rubbish about how Jafar came to be Jafar and then I’ll finish up with a triumphant re-tread of the original three films.

“Throw in a couple of cartoons, a TV show and a load of toys and we’ll be properly minted.”

Aladdin II: The Cave Strikes back will be release next year, but they’ll probably change the numerals in a few years.
