New PS4 game features epic quest to try and buy a PS5

A new PS4 game due out this Christmas sends the player on an epic quest to try to buy a PS5.

The Divinity of Elder Souls: Quest for the Magic PS5 has the player take control of a lowly peasant child in a rural village. When an evil wizard destroys the village’s pre-order receipt for a PS5, the child is sent off into the realm with a magic, cockney rabbit to try and buy a new one.

“This is a huge and complex quest that will speak to gamers everywhere,” said designer Stewart James.

“It will see the player negotiate out-of-town supermarkets, vast discount warehouses, and online retailers who are unclear about whether or not they have the stock that is advertised on their website.”

Mr Stewart also promises a challenging game.

“Oh yes. Very challenging. I’d go as far as to say difficult. But then, so it should be. This isn’t a normal existential quest to save the realm from oblivion or to rescue the Princess from an ancient and powerful evil – this is trying to buy a new PS5.

“If it was anything other than very, very difficult then it’s really not going to seem very realistic, is it?”

Fans were excited.

“This sounds great,” said Kelly Grace, a busy mum.

“I’m trying to get hold of a new PS5 for Christmas and it’s proving really difficult and taking up a lot of my time. It’ll be nice to take a break in the evening by playing a game about struggling to buy a PS5.”

At the same time as The Divinity of Elder Souls: Quest for the Magic PS5 is released, a similar game called Pillars of Fantasy’s Inquisition: Quest for the Magic Xbox Series X will be launched, but it unlikely to be anywhere near as popular.
