It looks likely that a new Nintendo Switch pro will be confirmed soon that will see the popular console embedded in a pair of trainers.
Designs leaked onto the Internet show a pair of Nintendo branded trainers with Switch joy-cons attached to the edge of each trainer and a flip-up screen embedded in the toe of the left shoe.
As yet, Nintendo have yet to deny that the designs are inaccurate, leading many to believe the ‘Switch-Trainer’ could be announced soon with a view to being available in time for the lucrative Christmas season.
When the Switch was first announced in 2016, many were expecting Nintendo to release a console/trainer hybrid, but according to insiders, the cobbling technology was simply not advanced enough at that stage.
If the new leaked designs prove correct, it would appear that the technology has advanced considerably in the past two years.
Fans, whilst pleased with the redesign, appeared to have been hoping for more.
“Yes, good that I can finally play my Switch on my trainers,” said @mariopants
“But, come on Nintendo, it’s 2021, shouldn’t we really be looking to embed the console in roller-skates?
“Maybe next time.”
It is thought that Sony will be watching the success of the redesigned new Nintendo Switch Pro closely as, according to rumours, they have been hard at work on a PlayStation 5 redesign that embeds the console in in a big hat.
