Following the success of Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, The Making of a Murderer, and The Staircase, Netflix has announced a new series in which a camera crew follows a murderer around as he commits murders.
Murderer doing loads of Murders was announced over the weekend and was greeted with excitement by the sort of people who inexplicably don’t think there’s probably enough stuff about murderers on Netflix.
“Brilliant news,” tweeted @crippenshands
“Seeing actual murders will be really interesting. I hope he does some strangling, that’s my favourite.”
Netflix spokesman John Hannibal gave a few more details.
“Well, it took some delicate negotiations,” he laughed.
“I mean, murderers are a pretty secretive bunch.
“But, Terry contacted us, and he couldn’t have been nicer. Apart from being a murderer, that is.
“He was happy to have a camera crew in tow as he stalked the streets and even offered to wash the microphone guy’s jacket when he accidently got blood on it.”
The show will focus on one murder a week and show how the murderer picks his victim, commits the crime and makes his escape.
Despite the excitement, there have been some politically correct types who have suggested that filming murders is immoral. Something Mr Hannibal was quick to deny.
“No, it’s just giving the people what they want,” he claimed.
“And, naturally, we’ll hand over all the footage to the police.
“Unless there’s a second series, of course. In which case we’ll probably hand over the footage after that.”
