A brand-new series of books has been announced that will, at first glance, appear to have been written by a celebrity who does game shows at teatime on a Saturday and seems vaguely familiar.
The books will be about a cow who bakes cakes or something and are certain to be a hit with undemanding children everywhere.
“I’ve wanted to have someone write a series of children’s stories and put my name on the cover ever since I found out how much money Chris Hoy earns for having someone write a series of children’s books with his name on the cover,” said the celebrity, who is likely called Fergus or Josh or something.
“So, I had a think for a minute while I was sat on the bog and thought about how everyone loves cakes and that.”
However, Josh or Fergus didn’t just leave it there, he used all his celebrity powers to put a crazy twist on the idea.
“Yeah, I thought – what if it was a cow who baked cakes? You know, and not a man.
“I know, mad, right? But you know, that’s the sort of talent that puts me in such great demand to host Saturday teatime game shows.”
It is expected that the book will be called something like Daisy the Cow Does A Cake, and will be a hit with children who watch Saturday teatime game shows and aren’t terribly discerning in their reading choices.
It is unlikely that the celebrity will ever meet the author of the books, but his agent has promised to email him a brief synopsis of what the author has written.
