Netflix considering making a decent film

Streaming behemoth Netflix is said to be actively considering making a decent film.

Following Mute, The Outsider and that Will Smith one about fairies, Netflix has established itself as one of the leading producers of bad films.

However, the company is said to not be satisfied with just churning out hugely expensive, turgid old rubbish and are looking to making a film that people will stop binge-watching Friends for.

“I can confirm that at Netflix we are considering abandoning our current strategy of making and distributing bad films,” said Martin Hoffman, Head of bad film production at Netflix.

“The first plan of action would be to change the name of my position to ‘Head of good film production,’ it’s a little thing, but it sets a tone.

“We would then hire some talented writers, have them create an original and engaging story, then we’d bring in a director with the vision to realise that story on screen. Finally, we could get some actors who understand their roles and can really bring them to life.”

However, Mr Hoffman was clear that the plan to make good films was still only an option and nothing official has, as yet, been decided.

“Oh yes, it’s still only under consideration,” he said.

“Frankly, making a good film seems like a lot of hard work, so we might just sack that off and just bang out some old rubbish about hyper-intelligent space zombies invading Michigan.”
