The much-anticipated drama based on Southern Rail looks set to be delayed.
Originally slated for Christmas 2017, it slipped to Spring 2018, then Autumn 2018, and has now been delayed until Summer 2019.
“We’re really sorry for the delay to this film,” said producer Griss Crayling
“But, unfortunately, a film that was due to come out beforehand has been delayed and there is definitely no way for our film to come out before the delayed film due to reasons.
“We are doing our best to get the film out to you but we just ask for your patience.
“Obviously, if you’ve pre-booked a ticket for the previous release date then you can apply for a refund but, naturally, it’ll take six weeks to process your refund and you’ll only get a fraction of what you paid back again.”
It had been suggested that if the current director was unable to deliver the film on time, then perhaps it was time to trust the creation of the film to a different director instead.
“Well, I can see the logic in that,” said Mr Crayling.
“But we’re not going to do that. Because of reasons.”
It is expected that when viewers do finally get to see the film it will go on for far too long and the seats will be really uncomfortable.
