The chaos and confusion surrounding the James Bond franchise could finally be coming to an end after a man who got a video camera for his birthday dramatically offered to direct the next film.
The new film, the 25th in the popular franchise, was set to be directed by Danny Boyle, however he quit the production after producers wanted to make Bond a crime-fighting superhero from Venus who calls everyone ‘bubba.’
Happily Craig Moore, a gasket-blower from South London, could be the man to save the franchise.
“Well, it’s like serendipity,” said Mr Moore.
“I mean, they lose their director just a week after getting a video camera for my birthday? It’s like it was meant to be.”
Mr Moore maintained that his inexperience behind the camera wouldn’t be a problem.
“No, I got one of those ‘for dummies’ books, and it pretty much covers everything, I’m only on the second chapter, but I reckon I’ll be able to read the rest over the weekend.”
Mr Moore has also had plenty of experience with the franchise.
“Yeah, I’ve seen loads of them, even the one where he dresses up as a clown.”
He even maintained that he could dramatically reduce costs by only filming at the weekend and casting his brother-in-law as the villain.
“Yeah, Ted would be brilliant as the baddie, and he was Banquo in his local am-dram’s Macbeth so he’s experienced.”
Whilst the offer should get one of the most popular franchises back on track, Mr Moore has issued a note of caution.
“Yeah, they need to get back to me quickly as I said I’d film my niece’s wedding on November so I’ll need to get the Bond film tied up by then.”
