The planned spin-off movie from Logan will focus on the guy who works in the store at the gas station that Logan and X-23 steal some supplies from.
The character has become a fan favourite after the film’s only faintly amusing moment where Logan asks the man if he has a phone-charger.
“Yeah, people were really into that guy, so we’re going to really dig into his back story as a member of the mutant X-universe,” said producer Kathleen Lucas
The man, unnamed in the film, will be called Jeremy and is working in the gas-station, so the new film explains, to fund his training in ballroom dancing. The story will focus on his progression through the ranks of amateur competition to the country’s biggest amateur ballroom championship.
Surprisingly, the film features no mutant powers or ‘x-people’
“Oh crap, that’s a point,” exclaims Ms Lucas
“I guess people will be expecting that, won’t they? Yeah, well, how about we give him special ballroom dancing mutant powers? Is that a thing? Yeah, that’s a thing. He’s a dancing mutant. Whatever, we’ve just got to keep this X-men thing going.”
If ‘X-Ballroom’ is successful, then a further spin-off from Logan will be made featuring a postman who works in one of the towns Wolverine once visited.
