Jurassic World Rebirth ‘brings back the wonder’, according to director Gareth Evans, with dragons, unicorns, and loch ness monsters.
“This new movie brings back the wonder of the original,” he explained.
“You remember that first moment you saw a diplodocus? By the lake? That feeling of awe? Believe me, you get that same feeling when you see a herd of loch ness monsters all emerging from the lake and chasing after Scarlett and her team.
“We’ve got unicorns that can fly majestically through the sunset. I don’t know if unicorns can fly or not, so it’s possibly a bit of artistic licence but I think that’s worth it for the spectacle of the scene.
“And then you’ve got the dragons. You’ve never seen anything like a flock of dragons all rising majestically into the sky.
“These were awesome, wonderful creatures, and we’re bring that to the screen.”
Evans was dismissive when it was pointed out that none of the creatures he mentioned ever actually existed.
“What, and A Tyrannosaurus Rex did? Ridiculous. A giant bitey lizard with tiny little arms? Don’t be silly. They’re all made up for the films.
“Come on, you’ll be saying that vampire bats or octopuses are real next. Or Belgians.”
