Horrible old man complains that grown-ups shouldn’t watch superhero films

A self-important horrible old man has stated that superhero films are all for children and that adults should just grow up and watch serious films about serious things instead.

The horrible old man made his demand on some podcast or other.

“Despite never having watched a superhero film in my life,” said the horrible old man.

“I feel confident to issue blanket criticism of the genre and of everyone who enjoys the genre.”

It is thought that the horrible old man is a ‘columnist,’ and, being paid to generate controversial opinions on a weekly basis, has long since lost the ability to hold an opinion that isn’t controversial.

The horrible old man went on to explain that grown-ups should be watching his films about medieval Russian peasants trying to cope with a failed harvest or gloomy French people chain-smoking their way through existential crises before having explicit sex and then sobbing in an empty room.

“Don’t even get me started on Harry Potter or Jurassic Park. If one of those came on telly then I think any self-respecting adult would immediately leave the room and read about 19th century political theory instead.”

The horrible old man has since denied going home after the podcast, dressing up as Luke Skywalker, and watching the Star Wars trilogy on his massive telly.
