Hacker appears to live in cage full of computer parts, empty red bull tins, faeces

hacker cage sits in dark room starring at code on a monitor

A hacker appears to live in a cage in the middle of the deserted top floor of an abandoned warehouse.

On one side of the cage is a wall of twelve monitors controlled by a tiny keyboard that can be cradled in one arm. On another side of the cage is a rack of old computer boards that would be far too covered in dust to be of any practical use, so really he’d be better served just throwing them out.

On the opposite side is a mattress on the floor surrounded by empty pizza boxes and faeces because he lives off the grid and if he were to use a toilet then the authorities would find him. It’s fine for a local pizza place to deliver pizzas though.

On the fourth side of the cage is a door that is controlled by a sophisticated image-recognition system and will only open when it recognises the hacker’s face. In the event of the image-recognition system malfunctioning the door can be opened by a reasonably hard kick.

The entire cage is lit up on either side by floodlights that can be seen from space.

That hacker spends all day/every day drinking red bull, typing implausibly quickly on his tiny keyboard, staring at streams of meaningless characters on one of his twelve monitors, saying things like “This will be child’s play,” “Hmm, a back door,” and “I’ve breached the firewall!”, and, presumably, shitting on the floor.

*Alright, perhaps ‘love’ is pushing it, maybe ‘be mildly diverted by’
