Greenlight given for The Greatest Showman 2: Electric Boogaloo

Greatest Showman 2

20th Century Fox are planning on capitalising on the ongoing popularity of circus caper The Greatest Showman by giving the greenlight for a wildly unexpected sequel.

Studio Executive Guillermo Del De Niro said, “The Greatest Showman was a tremendous success for both the public, who loved the film, and my ambition to take up a hobby of Ferrari stock car racing.

“It makes absolutely no sense not to make another one, even if there is no more richly sanitised yet strangely uplifting story to tell. So we’re making another one.

“‘The Greatest Showman 2: Electric Boogaloo’ will concentrate on the ‘demonstrably true’ events of PT Barnum’s little-known mid-life crisis whereupon he both tries, fails and succeeds to overpromote the Cuban electro-funk movement with mixed results.

“It’s gonna be whoopass!”

Hugh Jackman is expected to reprise his role as Barnum with a soundtrack written by Robson & Jerome, Mr Blobby and the previously uncapped Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The Greatest Showman 2: Electric Boogaloo will be released directly into discount stores’ bargain buckets in 2020.
