The game you paid fifty pounds for last weekend is now available for half that amount in today’s Black Friday sale, it has emerged.
The game, which was mediocre at best, and features a really annoying bit with a squirrel, was only released last month, so for it to be half price so quickly seems quite unfair.
There was a disturbing lack of sympathy for your predicament.
“I don’t know how any game could be worth fifty pounds anyway,” exclaimed your partner.
“I mean, fifty quid! That would cover our food bill for the weekend,” they confirmed, clearly not understanding that a videogame is considerably more fun than shopping for food.
It was also confirmed that neither Call of Duty nor Fifa nor anything good is in the Black Friday sale, just the game you paid full price for last week and a large number of games you’ve never heard of that feature an improbably proportioned lady-wizard on the cover wearing impractical clothes.
It is expected that your new game will be reduced even further in the inevitable forthcoming Christmas sale and will come with a free alternative pair of trousers for your main character and a virtual art-book, whatever that is.
