‘F**king Hell, It’s the Smurfs’ is surprise new sequel

There was surprise at the announcement of a new Smurfs sequel with the title F**king Hell, It’s The Smurfs.

It had been thought that the franchise had come to an end with the little seen previous film Smurfs: Irritating Blue Gnomes are Irritating, so there was some shock within the film industry at both the announcement and the profane nature of the title.

“I know, right?” Exclaimed producer Stewart James.

“Who’d have thought we’d bring the Smurfs back?

“Way we figured it, children are really, really stupid and will watch anything, so rather than think up anything new, we’ll just knock out a new Smurfs picture.”

Mr James went on to explain how the film’s unusual title came about.

“Yeah, we had a couple of focus groups with the public. We told them that we were looking for a title for a new movie.

“Then we’d show a clip of some Smurfs and everyone, and I mean everyone, would go ‘f**king hell, it’s the Smurfs.’

“So, we figured, what the hell, if that’s what people think, that’s the title, right there.”

He also gave an indication of what to expect from the plot.

“Hell, I don’t know – some Smurfs turn up, do a bunch of stuff and then go away again – what does anyone care, its something that your kids can stare at for an hour and a half and you don’t have to get involved.”

F**king Hell, It’s The Smurfs will release early next year.

It is understood to be the first time a children’s film has used such profanity in the title since 2008’s classic F**k me, it’s Nanny McPhee.
