A new crossover film that sees all heroes from the live-action Disney remakes to team up to battle evil is inevitable say experts.
Experts also fear the advent of the so-called ‘Disneyverse’ is upon us and will, therefore, see several sequels a year with a crossover event film every two years.
“I would imagine that a film in which Simba leads Aladdin and Belle into battle against an evil that threatens the universe – Maleficent or Scar – is inevitable in the next few years,” explained film expert Stewart James.
“The likes of Cinderella: Ragnarok and the Lion King: Hyenas Strike back will become a regular feature of cinemas and, I would imagine, that in ten years or so, a huge crossover movie will take place that climaxes in the death of one of the characters, probably Sleeping Beauty who had just begun a fledgling relationship with Tramp from Lady and the Tramp.”
Mr Stewart also predicted a slew of TV spin-offs that will see the likes of Pete’s Dragon and The Aristocats form a detective agency and have a series of smaller adventures that ultimately tie together in a satisfying larger arc and feature occasional cameos from some of the more impressive Disney stars like Cinderella.
Mr Stewart refused to say if an epic crossover movie in which the Marvelverse and Disneyverse come together due to some sort of dimensional portal could ever occur, but it remains a terrifying possibility.
