Following the shock cancellation of the upcoming Batgirl, fans have called on DC to retrospectively scrap Batman vs Superman.

Although the exact details of the Batgirl cancellation are unknown, a senior DC exec was heard, off the record, to say “ugh. It’s got girls in. Girls are smelly and weird.”

After the initial shock of the cancellation, fans have realised that something positive may come out of the situation.

“I mean, if we’re scrapping things, then perhaps we could take another look at Batman vs Superman,” asked Stewart James, who runs the Batpants blog.

“No idea what Batgirl was like, never got the chance to see it, but I do definitely know what Batman vs Superman was like. It was about 4 days long and was just two stern men stood in a load of rubble, endlessly punching each other.

“Now, if we’re talking about scrapping things, then that’s definitely where I’d start. Then maybe we could have a look at Justice League. Either version, just giving people a long version of a boring film wasn’t the problem-solver I think everyone thought it was.

“So, we scrap those and now we’ve got a decent enough Superman film, a great Wonder Woman film, and a fun, if mental, Aquaman film. We’re building towards a decent looking Justice League film and DC is looking in pretty good shape.”

DC are said to be considering the plan, and possibly hiring Mr James to run their film division, because a fictional bloke off the internet couldn’t do a worse job than the person currently in charge.
