The disappointment surrounding the latest iteration of the popular Fallout series of games has seen enthusiasm for all-out nuclear armageddon drop to an all time low.
In recent years, the Fallout series of games have painted a post-apocalyptic America full of exciting adventures, robot detectives, and zombie pirates that has seen enthusiasm for nuclear armageddon skyrocket.
However, this latest version seems to have really put people off living in a post-apocalyptic world.
“Speaking for myself, I’m really starting to go off the idea of living in an apocalyptic wasteland,” said Fallout fan Liam Pearce.
“Like most people, I always assumed that life after a nuclear apocalypse would be brilliant. Making a base out of an old 50s diner, being friends with an intelligent zombie, battling massive crabs.
“But after playing this new Fallout game, I’m starting to think that maybe we shouldn’t have a massive nuclear war.
“It’ll just end up being a bit boring.”
The sentiment seems to be echoed by many who, after having playing Fallout 76, have concluded that just going to work and watching telly maybe a bit dull, but it’s better than trying to shoot an interminable number of irradiated rats in an empty warehouse to get to a tape recorder.
It is hoped that Fallout 5 will be announced soon and that everyone can get back to really looking forward to nuclear armageddon once again.
