Screen Idle has been granted an exclusive image from the new Star Wars spin-off – Solo: A Star Wars story.
The image seems to show a young Han Solo and his big, blue, hairy pal Chewbacca.
“Totally legitimate, that,” said Neil Tollfree – Screen Idle ‘honcho’ and scrupulously thorough investigative journalist.
“Also, Chewbacca being blue? That’s a Screen Idle world exclusive, right there.
“Empire never got that.”
Tollfree explained that it definitely was Chewbacca and wasn’t in any way Sully from Monsters Inc.
“Course it’s Chewbacca, he just looks different because he’s younger.
There was also unkind speculation that the Han Solo featured was a plastic toy.
“That’s just people showing ignorance of modern filming techniques,” claimed Tollfree.
“That plasticky look is the CGI.
“This is a really young Han Solo and Harrison Ford is really old, so he filmed the role and they used CGI to make him look young.
“It always looks plastic when they do that, but when it’s moving you won’t notice.”
Solo: A Star Wars story will be released in May and will definitely feature a blue Chewbacca and a plasticky Han Solo.
As far as you know.
