Acting legend Daniel Day-Lewis has spoken for the first time about his planned retirement and has revealed that he could be tempted back to acting for a role in Daddy’s Home 3.
He said that he plans to watch a lot of TV about houses being bought, sold, or decorated and just spend days sitting round in his pants drinking strong lager and eating cereal straight from the box.
“I’m very proud of my career,” said the My Left Foot star.
“But, really, it’s time to just take it easy. I love Homes under the Hammer but I hardly ever get to see it and I’m thinking of applying to be on Pointless.”
He claimed that the retirement would be permanent but for one eventuality.
“Daddy’s Home 3. Man, I wanted the Daddy’s Home 2 gig. I can’t believe Mel got it. I would have killed as Wahlberg’s dad. You know, I could fall over and fart with the best of them.
“Yeah, Daddy’s Home 3. I’m in. Otherwise it’s just me on the sofa with a Colombo box set and all the Frosties I can eat.”
“Oo, or a Boss Baby sequel. I’d do that. He’s a boss, but he’s only a little baby.”
“That’s some funny stuff right there.”
