Master filmmaker Christopher Nolan has announced his latest ambitious project; a movie chronicling every actor and actress to have ever played a role on the big screen.
The director is rumoured to have thought of the idea whilst experiencing a dream within a dream within a dream within a dream, and although not sure whether it is his idea or whether somebody planted it in his mind, has decided to begin production on it next year anyway.
Addressing press outside his Los Angeles home he explained “Everyone knows how annoying it is when you see an actor’s face in a film and you can’t remember their name or what else you may have seen them in.
“Well most people will have a look at IMDB to figure it out, which takes a bit of time. They won’t have that problem with this film, as the plot will consist solely of each actor, in alphabetical order of course, stating their name and every film that have appeared in.
“Obviously a lot of people have died, so in those cases the late male actors will be portrayed by Tom Hardy, and the late female actors will also be portrayed by Tom Hardy.”
Film critic Morgan Cruise was sceptical, noting in his online blog “I like a novel idea as much as the rest man, but I’m not sure how Christopher Nolan hopes to weave a plot arc through the movie.
“Still, he’s surprised us before so perhaps we should wait and see. At least with a running time of seven and a half days it won’t go on for as long as the extended Lord Of The Rings trilogy.”
The film is scheduled to be released in 2020, but with the list of actors growing daily, audiences have been told not to hold their breath.
