Popular well-there’s-nothing-else-on-so-it’ll-do-I-suppose streaming behemoth Netflix has announced a new super-streamlined process that will see all shows announced and cancelled on the same day.
“We recognise the issues with our current system of announcing a new show, people watching the new show, and then us cancelling the new show once everyone’s really got into it. We understand that it’s a little inefficient,” said Netflix representative Stewart James.
“People have to go to the trouble of making the show, we have to promote the show, people then watch the show and get invested in it, then we have to tell everyone that we’ve cancelled it, and then people have to spend their valuable time sending us creative insults on Twitter.
“We think it’ll just be much more efficient to announce the new shows and cancel them all in one go. That way no one has to waste their time making them, watching them, or being rude to us.”
Under the new system, Netflix has announced the following new shows.
- Space Mummies – An ancient Egyptian tomb is found on Mars, and Earth is invaded by Mummies from Mars.
- Knickers – a wacky new British comedy about a woman and her talking knickers.
- Hartley Manor – A costume drama in which the butler of Hartley Manor falls in love with the man who delivers the coal.
- Mussolini’s Hen – World War II seen through the eyes of the Italian dictator’s pet chicken.
The shows have all now been cancelled.
Bizarrely though, Emily in Paris is still going.
