Donald Glover’s Lando Series Will Now Be a Nice Pot of Strawberry Jam

There are changes to the previously announced series about the younger days of Lando Calrission, as played by Donald Glover in Solo: A Star Wars story.

Although the project is still going ahead, the format is changing from an eight-episode mini-series to a nice pot of strawberry jam instead.

“I think we have of be mindful of oversaturating the market. We have a number of mini-series format properties, and that may be pushing the limit of what the market can sustain and so it seems sensible to transition some to different formats,” explained producer Stewart James.

“With Lando, it’s going to be great. Donald’s great. We just think that the story we want to tell could be better told through the medium of a nice pot of strawberry jam.”

Stewart insisted that the breadth and sweep of the story will not be affected.

“The story will remain broadly the same, just instead of being told via eight episodes of premium television, it will be told by eating a pot of delicious jam. The first spoonful will set the scene, the second will introduce the characters, and so on.”

It is currently unclear whether or not the Lando strawberry jam will be limited to Disney+ subscribers or will be available in high street stores or not. It does seem unlikely that any future physical format will be made available as the ephemeral nature of the taste of strawberry jam remains impossible to translate to Blu-ray.

Other planned changes to upcoming Star Wars properties include The Acolyte becoming a Taylor Swift album track and Season 2 of Andor being a spectacular landscaped garden in Wiltshire.
