Disney has announced that, once again, it has turned to its iconic theme park, Disneyworld, for inspiration for a new film.
Following Pirates of the Caribbean and the forthcoming Jungle Cruise, the studio has announced that is hard at work on a film based on the queue for the toilets at the park.
“Toilet Queue is the picture we’ve all been wanting to make,” said Disney executive Stewart James.
“It’s got everything – the tension of whether your bladder will hold out until to make it to the toilet, the comradery and humour found with other people in the queue, and the unbridled evil of people who push in in front of you.”
Details of the plot are scarce, but it is understood that a father, played by Ryan Reynolds, joins the queue for the toilets with his young son, played by Johnny Depp.
Together they wait for several hours to use the toilets, played by Meryl Streep.
“I think it’s going to be terrific,” continued James.
“People spend more time queuing for the toilet than anything else at Disneyworld, and even if you haven’t been to the toilet at Disneyworld, you’ve probably been to the toilet somewhere else, so everyone is going to be able to relate to Ryan and Johnny’s predicament in the film.
“And you know what? The work Meryl is doing as the toilet? I’ve never seen anything like it. I even think the Academy could take notice.”
Should the film prove as successful as Disney hope, other movies based on the theme park are planned, including How Much For a Burger and Fries?, Can You Help Me Find My Kids, and, I Don’t Care if you’re Bored, We’re Staying Until The Damn Place Closes After What I Just Paid.
