Disney remains tight-lipped on rumours of Doogie Howser MD and Knight Rider joining Avengers

As rumours continue to swirl that Phase 4 Avengers will see Iron Man replaced by Knight Rider and Doogie Howser MD joining, Disney are refusing to confirm or deny anything.

“Someone has to replace Iron Man,” explained Marvel expert and film blogger Stewart James.

“And, really, it’s hard to think of anyone better at the heart of the Avengers than a man with a highly modified, super-intelligent Pontiac Trans Am.

“Knight Rider fighting Kang alongside Thor and the new Captain America? It seems nailed on to me.”

Mr James also believes that an Avenger with special medical powers will be required.

“Sam Wilson’s Captain America, Michael Knight, they’re both human characters. They don’t have super powers, they’re mortal and susceptible to injury. So, we need someone with medical powers and that’s Doogie Hoswer MD. Yeah, he’s only a kid, but he’s a medical genius.”

A new clue seems to indicate at least one, or possibly both characters could be introduced in a new Disney+ show.

“So, a new a Doogie Howser MD show has appeared. But that’s a female-led version, so what happens to the old male Doogie? Joining the Avengers seems the most likely outcome. So, we get a crossover show where old Doogie meets the new Doogie and gives her tips on doing medicine, then Knight Rider saves them both from, I don’t know, Doctor Doom, and then old Doogie and Knight Rider join the Avengers.”

Despite the seeming inevitability of Doogie Howser MD and Knight Rider joining the Avengers, it seems strange that Disney or Marvel have yet to confirm the fact.

“It’s weird. I don’t know. The only thing I can think of is perhaps there’s other surprises up Disney’s sleeve that the rumour mill hasn’t yet figured out and we’ve got Magnum PI, ALF, and Sonny Crocket joining the Avengers as well.”
