Dark season 4 sees Jonas travel back to 1955 to ensure parents kiss at prom

A surprise Dark season 4 has been announced that will see Jonas on a desperate mission to travel back to 1955 to ensure his parents kiss at the prom.

The cult show has been baffling and enthralling viewers for the past four years before culminating in a dramatic finale that [SPOILER] saw Jonas defeat an unstoppable robot from the future who had travelled back to prevent him setting up a resistance movement against robots.

“It’s wonderful to get the chance to go back to Winden and explore that world further,” explained creator Jantje Friese.

“Season 3 saw Jonas discover that he was actually his own grandmother and was married to his youngest cousin, or something like that. Frankly, I was pretty confused by then.

“But what viewers may have missed is that twice in the finale we showed a picture of Jonas’s family, the second time showing that they were all becoming faded.

“With this new season, we will explain that Jonas’s adventures have caused a problem with the timeline that mean that his parents don’t kiss at prom or then get married, and consequently the entire family is being removed from existence.”

Dark season 4 will see Jonas use the magic cave to travel back to 1955, wear some cool 50s clothes, invent rock and roll, and have his Mum and Dad kiss at prom.

“It’s going to be a lighter season, quite comical – at one point, Jonas’s mum falls in love with Jonas after seeing him in his underwear – and we’ve decided to get rid of all that moody and miserable droning music and replace it with some kick-ass tunes from Huey Lewis and the News.

“It’s really going to be the definitive season of Dark.”

Dark season 4 will premiere on Netflix next year and, if successful, could lead to a Dark season 5 that sees Jonas travel into the future because they don’t have roads there.
