Award winning film-makers the Dardenne Brothers have announced that their next film will be a bawdy, sexy eighties-style frat house comedy.
Twice winners of the Palm D’Or and recipients of many international award nominations, the bothers are best known for their intensely naturalistic films about working-class Belgian life.
“Frankly, the problem with intensely naturalistic films about working-class Belgian life is that there is very little scope for fart jokes,” said Jean-Pierre Dardenne.
“We tried to work one into Two Days, Two Nights, but the when you’re dealing with a depressed woman’s struggle to keep her job, a fart joke can really spoil the tension.”
The new film – Crazy Wild Frat Spring Break Sex Bonanza – will be set around the wacky adventures of Gabba Gabba Hey House in a fictional US University.
After the crusty old Dean catches the Gabba boys having a big sexy party, he threatens to close them down for good, they fight back the only way they know how – by having a big sexy party.
“I have always been frustrated that we have been limited to only showing rigorously empathic vision of film-making,” mused Luc Dardenne
“I want people to see the wacky side of the Dardennes.”
Following Crazy Wild Frat Spring Break Sex Bonanza, the brothers intend to stray even further from their usual oeuvre with King Kong Battles The Sex Robots From Mars.
