Concern is growing that a growing societal maturity means that the upcoming Game of Thrones prequel won’t have boobs in it.
Game of Thrones was one of the biggest television hits of all time and had loads and loads of boobs. Every episode there were boobs all over the place.
However, that was eleven years ago.
“I think the televisual landscape has changed considerably since Game of Thrones first debuted,” explained worried fan Stewart James.
“I mean, we’ve had #MeToo, the rise of Phoebe Waller-Bridge and other great female writers. I May Destroy You. Russian Doll.
“People want and expect a much richer, more nuanced televisual treatment of female characters nowadays.
“So, I’m really worried there won’t be boobs in the Game of Thrones prequel.”
Mr James believes that the evidence seems to indicate that the prequel will be, if not boob-free then certainly boob-light.
“I’ve watched that teaser trailer hundreds of times. I’ve paused it everywhere, and there’s not even a glimpse of a boob. I’ve read interviews with cast and writers and there really seems to be this idea that things are going to be very different to Game of Thrones with this one.
“They don’t say anywhere that there definitely won’t be boobs, but they don’t say that there definitely will either, which is a real concern.
“I mean, I’m all in favour of society growing up a bit and having a more mature attitude to TV drama, but it does seem a shame if that’s at the expense of boobs in a new Game of Thrones show.”
