Christopher Nolan fans shocked and worried that new Oppenheimer tailer features audible dialogue

Christopher Nolan fans have expressed their shock and concern that a new trailer for the upcoming Oppenheimer appears to feature a section of audible dialogue.

“Is it just me, or could you hear what people were saying in the trailer? Is this even a Nolan film?” tweeted @TenetofDunkirk.

“It does seem that Christopher has made the controversial decision to let audiences hear what people are saying in this film. If the trailer is anything to go by, that is,” said Nolan expert Stewart James.

“This will certainly divide his fans, many of whom enjoy watching his films because they like the pretty pictures without having to worry terribly about what people are talking about.

“I mean, Inception? Spectacular stuff. That bit the crumbling city? Amazing. Who knows what it’s all about though. Dreams dreaming of dreams? Something about that, but that doesn’t really matter, if Christopher wanted people to understand what was going then he’d have made it possible to hear what the characters were saying rather than just having them charge about looking serious and mumbling.”

It seems though, that the decision to allow audiences to hear what characters are saying in Oppenheimer could prove controversial. As this selection of comments under the trailer show.

“I’ve got to listen to the dialogue now? Is this a Woody Allen film or a Christopher Nolan film?”

“Dialogue? I watch these films so I don’t have to think about what anyone is saying.”

“What a shame. If he’d just not paid for a script and let everyone mumble like usual, then there’d be enough money in the budget for another atom bomb going off.”

However, others have now wondered what might have been if you could hear what characters were saying in other Christopher Nolan films.

“Imagine if you could hear what people were saying, Tenet might have made sense.”
