Fans of Carry On films have been delighted by the news that after twenty five years, the series is making a comeback with the new Carry On Global Smallpox Epidemic, currently filming in Northern Island.
“It was important, if we were going to do it, to make a Carry On film for the new millennium,” said director Martin Kurasawa.
“And a devastating global epidemic is relevant to people now just as cowboys, vampires and Cleopatra were relevant in the sixties.
The action will be set in a laboratory with a gang of hapless sex-starved scientists all trying to come up with a cure for smallpox which has been reintroduced into the population by radical environmental terrorists.
However, the fun really gets started when a group of sexy test subjects arrive and find that it’s not just smallpox vaccine that the scientists want to inject them with.
“I don’t think anyone’s really realised the potential for saucy humour as the greatest scientists on the planet race to cure smallpox,” continued the director.
“We going to have one test subject who develops chronic flatulence after an experimental smallpox cure, a priapic scientist in quarantine after a potentially lethal exposure is forced to listen to the saucy goings on outside, and, of course, a nurse’s bra pings off for some reason.”
The cast is currently unknown, but there is hope that Daniel Day Lewis’ recently announced retirement may be postponed.
