Calls for the BBC to show balance and make ‘Industrial Planet’ – a celebration of pollution

A backlash is growing against the BBC and their acclaimed new natural history documentary Frozen Planet II.

“It’s all very nice, with the whales eating seals and cute penguins mucking about and everything, but it’s very one-sided,” explained Stewart James, a climate sceptic who doesn’t believe in climate.

“I mean, it keeps going on about pollution and global warming and everything like it’s a bad thing. But come on, BBC, what about some balance here? Not all of us think pollution and global warming are really that awful.

“I mean, warming summers? Lovely. And pollution? Is it really that bad? You can’t see it or hear it and can only really smell it a bit, and without it we wouldn’t have our fantastic industrial world. Frankly, I think pollution is pretty decent, all things considered.”

Mr James is proposing a six-part series celebrating industry, global warming, and pollution.

“Open in Brazil, men are cutting down rainforest trees, but instead of moaning about it, we look at how much lovely space it’s creating. You can go for a nice walk in Brazil now without all the tigers who lived in the rainforest getting you.

“The we could talk about the oil industry, but instead of focussing on the damage it does to the planet, we talk about the positives like Dallas. We would never have had J.R. and Bobby and Cliff without the oil industry.

“There’s loads we can do, and it would just make a change from watching a polar bear slide down a snowy bank on its bum.”

Whilst the idea is patently ridiculous, it is understood the BBC is actively considering the proposal to avoid being shouted at by Twitter loudmouths whose funding comes from entirely legitimate sources.
