Following accusations that the latest series of Doctor Who has become too ‘politically correct,’ there are calls for it to become more racist and sexist.
“I just don’t think a family tv programme like this is the right place to make political statements about races and sexes being equal,” said Peter Tennant, an unemployed cow-shaver from Essex, who claimed to be a Doctor Who fan.
“I mean, the other week we had to have all this weird political stuff about a black lady getting on a bus somewhere in America.
“Now I don’t have any idea what that was all about, or what significance the black lady had, but I shouldn’t have to watch that on Doctor Who.”
Mr Tennant went to suggest that it should become more racist and sexist.
“Look, I’m not saying it should be Bernard Manning in the tardis,” he claimed, unconvincingly.
“But let’s just have a normal programme where the main people are my colour, where Doctor Who is a man, and if there are any women then, they should be good-looking and getting into scrapes so the Doctor can rescue them.
“It’s not really that it should be more sexist and racist but just…more normal.”
It is hoped that the producers of Doctor Who will respond to the complaints that it is ‘too politically correct’ by creating an episode set in apartheid era South Africa in which the Doctor reveals that along with two hearts, she’s also got two wombs.
