Following news that Florence Pugh, Emily Blunt, Josh Harnett, Matt Damen and pretty much every actor currently working have been cast in Christopher Nolan’s new Oppenheimer film, comes the surprise announcement that both your brother-in-law and Mum have also secured roles in the film.
With the cast seemingly now reaching into the thousands, the Dark Knight director has been forced to spread his casting net ever wider to fill all the roles.
“Well, I don’t think that it’s any secret that Chris and I had been looking for a project to work on together for quite some time,” said your brother-in-law Dave, a financial advisor from Guildford.
“I’m glad that we’ve finally got it together for this one. I can’t give any details about the part as yet, but suffice to say, I’m looking forward to some impressively designed action set pieces created without a reliance on CGI.”
Your Mum has so far refused to comment on her role.
Little is currently known about the plot of the film, but with rumours of a 1:1 reconstruction of pre-war Hiroshima currently being built in north California, it seems likely there will be at least one incredible explosion.
It is also strongly rumoured that your Dad is in the running for a minor but potentially awards-worthy role as Winston Churchill and that the dog will play Hollywood legend Rin Tin Tin.
