Cast and crew of the upcoming James Bond film have celebrated a week without flooding, explosion, outbreak of disease or any other catastrophe befalling them.
It has been seven days since the set endured a dispiriting outbreak of smallpox, but since then all has been well.
“Well, I thought that we were in trouble on Wednesday,” explained director Cary Fukunaga
“I came back from lunch to find the walls bleeding, which is always a bummer, but as I got close, I saw it had just been freshly painted, so we’re all good.”
So far, other than the outbreak of smallpox, the production of Bond 25 has endured a change of director, an injury to star Daniel Craig, a minor earthquake and tsunami localised to the casino set, alien abduction, the loss of a sock, and a small nuclear explosion that, happily, occurred while everyone was stuck in traffic.
However, with an entire week passing with no further disasters befalling the production, Mr Fukunaga is confident that any apparent ‘curse’ is just an unhappy coincidence and that filming will continue without a hitch
“Yeah, I think we’re all good now,” he chuckled
“Although, I am a little concerned about the schedule for next week.
“I’m just not sure that filming on that old Indian burial ground is the right move for this production.”
