Netflix have cancelled hit series Black Mirror after writer Charlie Brooker wrote an uplifting story in the latest series.
Netflix executive Guillermo Kurosawa lamented, “What is this English dude trying on?!
“We paid him to make the bleakest, most captivating stories to terrify you about the inevitable direction in which the world is going. You can’t write a beautiful inspiring story then just bang the name ‘Hang The DJ’ on the credits and claim that’s it’s grim!
“I watched the episode and it made me feel like all my problems went away. The desolate nature of both this series and the entertainment industry I work in went away for an hour and I found myself smiling and thinking ‘Aw! That’s lovely! This is the most uplifting piece of telly I’ve seen for a long while.
“For the first time in a long time, it made me want to pick up the phone and ring my beautiful wife to tell her exactly how much… we should sack this miserable British guy. She’s on the board too.
“She agreed with me, so now he’s gone. Nice and fluffy telly can go back to where it belongs: on the Horror Channel.
“We’ve instead hired one of those Hollywood perverts to write a terrifying, horrific, filthy thing based upon autobiographical experience.”
Mr Brooker was unavailable for comment, as he has become a recluse due to his own creativity terrifying him to his very soul.
