Birds of Prey changes title to ‘Please, for the love of God, come see our film’

Birds of Prey

After a disappointing opening weekend, Birds of Prey has had its title changed to Please, for the love of God, come see our film.

It also has a longer subtitle – We spent ages on it, and it’s really good, honest – that will be displayed where space allows.

“It was pretty clear that the former title – The Fantabulous Emancipation of Harley Quinn – was proving off-putting to people who weren’t sure what a fantabulous emancipation was, so we needed to send a clearer message,” explained star and producer Margot Robbie.

Please, for the love of God, come see our film I think really gets over everything we want to say to potential viewers. Just, you know, come see the film.

Robbie also revealed that other titles had been considered.

The Entertaining one out of Suicide Squad was an early option but it was still a bit subtle. Would people really understand that we wanted them to come an see this film?

“Then we thought You people saw Batman vs Superman, and that was shit but that seemed quite combative.

“We came very close to naming it Parasite because films called Parasite seem popular.”

Ultimately, they settled on Please, for the love of God, come see our film.

However, there is some indication that Cinema-goers are not responding to the new title.

“Hmm, no, I don’t think I’d go and see that,” said Kelly Grace, when asked about the new title.

“I mean, it’s really unclear about whether there’s a fantabulous emancipation or not.”
