After its unexpected box-office and critical reception, a follow up to A Quiet Place is in development.
A Noisy Place will be the most consistently loud movie ever released in cinemas, with movie theatres having to replace their speaker systems on a daily basis and viewers leaving with migraines and tinnitus.
Director John Krasinki said, “Okay, so the original movie’s conceit was to make the cast stay as quiet as possible whilst aliens who hunted by sound tried to track them down. Cinema goers found themselves in eerily quiet auditoria trying to eat their popcorn and crisps with the minimum of crunching, which is really great!
“Conversely, the follow-up will have aliens who can only hunt by complete silence, so the lead character will be a one-man band who lives inside a reversing truck.
“So, for the audience, by the time you’re five minutes into this follow-up, all your popcorn will have been vibrated out of your box and you’ll most likely be five rows further back than that which is printed on your ticket.
“You won’t care though, as your head will be pounding so much, you’ll barely be able to pop the cocodamol you’ll need at that point.
“And that’s exactly the vibe I’m aiming for: hearing issues for the rest of your life.”
The film will be sponsored by Dre’s Beats.
A Noisy Place has no release date as yet, but you will hear it coming.
