A woman enjoyed a three-course meal in a cinema over the weekend
Mrs Meryl Hunter was watching an afternoon showing of A Star is Born when she produced a small glass of sherry and some olives.
Finishing her pre-dinner snack, she opened a small glass of white wine and enjoyed a delightful appetiser of scallops in a pea reduction with a black pudding crumble.
With a half bottle of Bordeaux, she then ate a lamb shank with an olive oil mash in a port and blackcurrant jus.
After a break of some fifteen minutes, she then finished the meal with a crème brulee and a glass of Barsac.
She watched the end of the film with brandy, truffles and a cigar.
“It’s nice to have something to eat in the cinema,” said Mrs Hunter
“Some people like pick and mix, some people like popcorn, I like a full three-course meal served with some unpretentious wine and a nice cigar.”
“Obviously, I could just eat at home and then come to the cinema to watch a film but how can you really enjoy a film unless you’re constantly eating from trailers to titles?”
It is understood that Mrs Hunter is thoroughly looking forward to the next rerelease of Titanic as she’s a 9 course Spanish/Indian fusion taster menu with matching wines she’s simply dying to try.
