Third Avatar film could be ready as soon as 2123

James Cameron has confirmed that the follow-up to recent hit Avatar: Smurfs in the Seacould be completed in the next hundred years.

Speaking in a video released to celebrate the newly released Avatar sequel taking all the money in world, the Terminator legend stated that he was confident the sequel would be completed for the turn of the century.

“Yeah, you can’t rush movies,” he said.

“I mean you’ve got to spend ten years talking about doing another sequel, then ten years casting it, then you spend ten years talking about who you’ve cast in it.

“That’s thirty years and we haven’t even got a camera out yet.

“You’ve also got to factor in me deciding to go off in a submarine to spend a year filming the bottom of the ocean for a documentary that only nine people will ever watch.

“And then you’ve got that basic thing that it takes me five years to spend a year filming, so it all adds up.

“Anyway, glad you enjoyed the sequel, pop back again in ten years for an update on the third film when I’ll tell you that we thought about casting Patrick Duffy from Dallas, but decided not to.”

Although Mr Cameron made no comment about the fourth film in the planned series, industry rumour suggests it could be ready before the sun cools, earth crumbles and humanity is consigned to cosmic history.

It might not, though.
