Succession spin-off to see reanimated, cyborg Logan Roy return to fight crime

With fans still processing the death of fictional media mogul Logan Roy, producers have announced that he will return in a new spin-off to Succession.

“Logan is too good a character to simply stay dead,” explained showrunner Stewart James.

“As we’ve seen in real life with Donald Trump and Elvis, if you’re rich enough, death doesn’t have to mean that you’re gone forever. You can return and continue your political career or simply live out the rest of your life quietly in the Cotswolds.”

The new spin-off sees Logan opt to return to life and use his powers for good.

“Logan is a hugely popular character, but he isn’t very nice. That really troubled me. What if people looked at him and went – ‘I like Logan, he’s a horrible old man with a huge media company, perhaps I’ll become a horrible old man with a huge media company’ – I wanted to see Logan become a bit more of a role-model.”

When reanimated, Logan decides to ignore his media company, and instead to have himself augmented with cybernetic parts to increase his strength, endurance and eyesight, and become a crime-fighting vigilante.

“We’ve still got the acerbic dialogue and attitude of Succession, but with something a bit more. It’s kind of Succession crossed with Bionic Man crossed with Iron Man, and most importantly, it’s got Logan learning how to be a good man. Something we can all aspire to.”

Succession: Life On the Streets will begin filming next year, and for the first time in the show’s history, will feature a tie-in line of action figures and toys and possibly even a tie-in with McDonalds.
