Film depicting large man stamping on smurfs proves surprisingly popular

A new film depicting a large man in massive boots just stamping on smurfs has proved to be surprisingly popular.

The film begins with hundreds of of smurfs, including Papa Smurf, Smurfette and the smurf with glasses, released into a field where they set about being profoundly irritating. The smurfs panic and run, but they find they are trapped by fences. After a few minutes, a large man wearing massive hard-wearing workboots appears and starts stamping in the smurfs.

The film pulls no punches in its depiction of smurfs being stamped on. There is an audible pop as each smurf bursts and smurf viscera squirts across the field.

“I loved it,” said Kelly Grace, a parent of twin six-year-olds, “little blue bastards with their stupid hats. It’s great to see them get what’s coming to them. Really satisfying.”

Director Denis Villeneuve explained how he’d delayed making Dune Part III to make the film

“To be honest, there’s only so much sand and shouting a man can take so I needed a break from all that. As such, I decided to do something more personal, a real passion project. I’ve always felt, in my heart, that I wanted to make a film about Smurfs getting stamped on.”

The surprise success of the film has seen a sequel rushed into production that will see a woman in really pointy shoes kick smurfs as far as she can off a tall building.
