The next feature film to be adapted by Netflix Kids is David Fincher’s messed-up doom-laden horror thriller, Se7en.
Fincher himself will take the helm, explaining, “There is this feeling my films are pretty inaccessible for kids. So, I’ve decided I’ll take the jump and adapt the story of a lunatic serial killer who uses razor blades to remove his fingerprints, so even a young kid can understand the subtext.
“The series will cover exactly the same crimes, in exactly the same detail, but it’ll be animated and, instead of ‘sins’, the seven referred to will be the Seven Dwarfs, making it both accessible to kids and politically dubious at the same time.
“Yes, having the dwarfs killed, respectively, by making one eat too much, starving one to death, and then sticking some sword dildo on Bambi before smashing him to death, should really make my work more appealing to a younger generation.”
