Review – Hereditary

Hereditary

Hereditary. Totally scary, dude. Totally.

Thing is though, could have been scarier. So, what it needed, right, is an evil dog. But not just a normal evil dog, an evil dog that talks.

So, yeah, there’s, like, that lady from Muriel’s Wedding and she’s just going about doing normal stuff like making a bowl of Frosties or, you know, milking a cow, and all of a sudden, she hears this really deep gravelly voice go – ‘I am a totally evil demon of evil’ – and she looks round and there’s just the dog. The evil dog, and it’s just, sort of, looking at her with its head tilted on one side.

Then, if you really wanted to go crazy and totally freak everyone out, you could have, like, a talking cat as well, so then you’ve got the lady milking the cow and she hears a voice go– ‘I am a totally evil demon of evil, and then another voice go – ‘yeah, and so am I,’ and she looks round and there’s a dog and a cat.

So, you know, it’s bad that the dog and the cat are evil, and that they’re talking, but also they’re working together.

That would have totally freak me out.

Hereditary didn’t have that but was still pretty good and you should totally go and see it.

Screen Idle star rating **** Decent, but needed more evil talking pets.
