The Internet was alive with excitement last night after a new teaser for the reveal of an announcement of the date for a teaser of a trailer for an upcoming teaser-trailer was released without warning.
The teaser, a short 5 second YouTube video of the words ‘soon – an announcement of the date for a teaser of a trailer for an upcoming teaser-trailer’ superimposed on a blue background, gave little away but nonetheless caused widespread excitement across the Web.
“I’m so excited, I’ve had to change my underwear nine times in the last hour,” tweeted one fan.

Fans are already speculating what could come next.
“I don’t think the reveal of the announcement of the date for the teaser of a trailer for the upcoming teaser-trailer will be next,” tweeted the user @moviehotpants who, judging from his twitter username, may have insider knowledge
“I think we’ll see another version of the teaser for the reveal of the announcement of the date for the teaser of a trailer for an upcoming teaser-trailer, but the background will be a slightly darker blue.
“Either way, I’m psyched,” he concluded, grateful for the recently increased number of characters in a tweet.
It is hard to imagine how humankind existed before the Internet, and studios were forced to just put out a single trailer before the film came out a few weeks after, rather than tease the reveal of the announcement of the date for the teaser of a trailer for the upcoming teaser-trailer.
They must have been dark, dark times.
