New Kong X Godzilla sequel sees pair forced to share apartment with hilarious consequences

The latest entry in the Kong/Godzilla franchise has been announced and will see the paid forced to share an apartment together with predictably chaotic results.

“Okay, so we’ve had Kong and Godzilla battle across the globe and it’s been epic, right? Well, that’s nothing compared to what happens when they have to move in together in a cramped apartment in Woodside, New York,” explained director Grant Sputore.

“Godzilla, he’s super tidy and labels everything in the fridge and is dusting all the time, but Kong, he’s an absolute slob and just leaves dirty plates everywhere. When you put those two together in an apartment? It’s the original odd couple. Well, okay, the Odd Couple was the original odd couple but this is hilarious stuff anyway.”

The film begins with Godzilla having to leave the Colosseum because the Italians want to decorate it. Kong finds himself similarly homeless after an argument with the Hollow Earth ape tribe over who should do the vacuuming.

They decide to move in together to save money and are initially both excited at the prospect, however, when Kong breaks Godzilla’s favourite soup bowls the sparks start to fly!

“It’s so funny,” continued Sputore. 

“Godzilla is forever trying to get Kong to use a coaster, Kong keeps blocking the toilet. Godzilla wants to go for a walk in the park, Kong wants to watch a rock and roll show at a local bar. 

“Everything comes to a head when Mothra comes to dinner and Kong just wants to get in a load of beer and pizza and have them all play video games but Godzilla thinks they should have a four-course meal with fine wine, served on silver.

“So they have a huge battle and destroy New York and most of the East Coast.”
