New Jordan Peele film to be an allegory on making allegorical films

The new Jordan Peele film is set to be a typically multi-layered affair that functions both as a terrifying horror film and also an allegory on the difficulties of making allegorical films.

Following Get Out’s race allegory and Us’s societal allegory, Peele’s latest will be about a uniquely personal allegory.

“Making allegorical movies? It’s hard, man,” explained Peele, as he announced the film.

“I want people to understand exactly how hard it is and, you know, the best way to do that is through a highly allegorical horror film.”

The plot of the film will feature an architect who is designing a bridge and is unable to solve a particular problem.

Riven with stress, she begins to experience strange phenomena such as a little goblin running into her bedroom at night and whispering ‘the bridge is a tunnel’ in her ear or a creepy doll that just keeps saying ‘it means something else.’

“Yeah, I mean, at its heart, this is a scary picture and if that’s all you see and you have a great time with it, then that’s just fine,” said Peele.

“But, if you look a little harder, you may get an idea what it is like to make an allegorical film.”

The Get Out director then went to get a soda, which may or may not have been an allegory on something.
