New Free-to-play Call of Duty Masterchef mode launches today

A Brand new free-to-play Call of Duty game will release today, and it’s a virtual take on the popular Masterchef cooking competition.

Call of Duty: Chefzone will allow up to 150 players to battle it out to see who can create the most impressive virtual three-course meal.

“It’s finally here, it’s what everyone has been waiting for. It’s Chefzone, and it’s time to bring your best kitchen game to Call of Duty,” explained Kelly Grace, an Activision representative.

The game will place each of the 150 players in a giant virtual kitchen, and provide them with a variety of ingredients.

The players will then each have up to an hour to create the most impressive virtual meal.

A sophisticated AI algorithm will ask each player about what they’re cooking and what their background is during the game whilst another, slightly less sophisticated algorithm makes guttural yummy noises.

“This is an evolution in online multiplayer cookery,” continued Ms Grace.

“To have 150 players in the same virtual kitchen, I mean, you will be able to see what the player next to you is cooking. 150 players! There’s never been anything like it before.”

Call of Duty fans were excited.

“Man, oh man, I am psyched for this,” said former Democratic Presidential nominee hopeful Michael Bloomberg who recently dropped out of the race to spend more time playing Call of Duty.

“I mean, shooting other players in the head across exotic warzones is one thing, but the chance to beat other players using nothing but my cooking skills? It’s pretty much what I’ve always been hoping for.”

The new free-to-play Call of Duty mode will roll out throughout the day across the world, and companies are bracing themselves for high-levels of sickness tomorrow.

It is thought that Call of Duty rival Battlefield is to respond by launching a free-to-play Strictly Come Dancing/Dancing with the Stars mode in the coming months.
